Question about minoxidil shed

Hi.

I'm currently on propecia (1 month) and I'm thinking about trying out minoxidil. I have a question, though. If I apply minoxidil only at the temple area, where I have small thin hairs... will that cause a shed on my entire head or just in that area?

minoxidil will diffuse a bit into the scalp, so if you experience minoxidil induced shedding, it could be within the diffused areas.
