Question about Hair Loss from Nizoral

I use nizoral 1% for both dandruff and minor hair growth benefits several times a week, but I recently read on a medical web site that one potential side effect of Nizoral is increased hair loss.

While I doubt anyone here knows for sure, do you think the people experiencing hair loss from Nizoral got it because of an allergic reaction or something similar? Do you think it would be associated with increased skin irritation as well?

The reason I ask is Nizoral seems to soothe my scalp really well (I have seborrheic dermatitis), and I will probably use it for a long time to come unless my scalp problems suddenly clear up on their own, so I do not want to be using a product that I think is helping but is really doing more harm than good in the long run.

I think that your body is the best indicator for this. Some people cannot even handle nizoral, but for me it makes the scalp feel much better. I couldn't imagine doing the regimen without it.

If it hasn't given you any problems (i.e. irritated scalp) I doubt it will be harmful for you. Tons of people use it as part of their hairloss program.

It made me lose a bunch of hair. I haven't used in in a week or two and no more major shedding.
