When you shed, does the lost hair eventually grow back or is it lost permanently?

If I begin finasteride treatment today, will the hair I have now be the one I keep, or the one that I get after the shed?

All your hairs will shed eventually. It's a part of the natural hair cycle, but miniaturized hairs will grow stronger when using finasteride.
