Can genetic hairloss (androgenic I guess its called) happen without any sort of miniaturization present? I have diffuse thinning and was just curious, thanks!

No, the process is androgenic alopecia and a symptom is miniaturization of the hair follicle.

If you are early stage then the miniaturization may not be noticeable.

If you have diffuse thinning then over time your hair loss will start to appear in a pattern, mostly defined by the thinning of the hairline, temples and midscalp, forming a 'island' at the front.
