Guys cox i always style my hair, and i always finish it off with some hair spray b4 i leave for schooll... But some how in the middle of the day, i tend to adjust my hair again, and becos of the spray, my hair is hardened, and while brushing my hair with my hand, i tend to pull my hair alot, does this cause additional hair loss. Does this cause more hairs to fall out :(

That fact that you say you pull out the hairs when you run your hand through your hair must mean you are losing more hair. Not through male pattern baldness but through wear and tear on your hair strands.

i did not say that i pulled the hair out, but whenever i brush my hair when there is hair spray on, there is often resistant due to the hairspray, and i am asking if i constantly doing does it causes hair to drop. As every time after i do that i feel a bit of pain in the scalp. Especially not noticing that there some tangled hair, and while brushing my hair through this tangled hair it causes some pain. SO i am wondering if i am always doin this will it cause the hair to drop out ?

I would say that plastering on hairspray and then brushing it later in the day could do some harm. Especially if you are feeling pain when brushing it.

Try to use some kind of fixing gel. Fish cream is the best I have used in years. I swear by it. It does not feel sticky but it has a more natural hold than hairspray and is easier on the hair....

former... damn yo we have the same problem!

over the past 4 years my hair's been thinning but i haven't noticed it until the summer of 2004. yeah man i totally feel you cuz i style my hair with that messy look too. once during december 2003 i decided to not touch my hair like that. guess what! it worked and my hair was a lot thicker than before. i had to shave my head so that i wouldnt be able to "pull it out" becuase theres jack sh*t to style.

you should try that it took me from december-august for me to see improvement. i'm trying to do that again but then shaving your head and waiting for it to all grow back is a pain in the ***.

good luck and keep me posted with any helpful info you find on combating this type of hairloss. peace
