Hey guys...had a question. Why do some well known doctors which are recommended by hair resotration network and have an excellent academic backround use PRP therapy and LLT when its completely USELESS for male pattern baldness patients??? and usa's top hair transplant doctor (dr umer of chicago said prp is useless).

Have you looked the PRP studies? Look at Grecos latest 60 person study. I posted it but I think they took it down or moved it.

I use LLLT daily to treat my male pattern baldness and I've gotten great results for what it's supposed to do. It's not a miracle treatment but it's certainly helped me a lot. I currently haven't done PRPT, so I can't say how it's worked for me.

... and what did it do exactly? Any photos? Noone who ever claimed that LLLT worked could ever provide any before/after photos, and if they did, they were on minoxidil and/or finasteride at the same time and then said LLLT worked.

It stimulates my scalp, it used to be super sensitive to the touch and I don't have that problem anymore. Since LLLT has been used to lower inflammation and reduce pain, I'm pretty sure that's why my scalp sensitivity went away.

It also helped to improve the quality of my hair. My hair used to look lifeless, as in brittle, dry, and thin looking. Now there's more shine to my hair and it looks fuller.

That's what it's done for me, and no I don't have any photos. Like I put in my previous post, it's not a miracle treatment, but it helps. I use Ketoconazole to help keep my scalp healthy and I use Minoxidil for hair growth. I plan to get on Dutasteride or Finasteride in January 2015 for hair maintenance. I don't use LLLT for hair growth or to maintain my hair. Using LLLT can give you good results for what it's supposed to do if you have the knowledge and take the time to use it correctly.

You don't need to take my word for it, do your own research about it. :)

How long is your hair Agustin? Many of the guys who make claims that LLLT is effective say that hair has to be very short when treating with laser.

My hair currently is approximately three inches long on the top of my head. I only use LLLT on the top of my scalp where my hair loss is since I have thinning in a NW6 pattern. Yes, having shorter hair can help make LLLT more effective, but it also depends on how well it's used. When I use the treatment, I have my hair parted so it can get where it needs to be.
