Proscar?

I'm 21 now, and noticed my hair was thinning at 19. I tried using natural herbal supplements but that didn't work. Since I didn't want to take Propecia every day for the rest of my life, and I definitely didn't want to do nothing about it.

So I got on Saw Palmetto about 1.5 months ago...someone told me to go on Proscar, but I don't know if it's going to be the same thing as Propecia. Are there any good trustworthy websites to buy it from? Or should I just stick with Saw Palmetto? :dunno:

Proscar is the same thing as Propecia just in a different dosage. Both
contain finasteride.

I understand your reluctance to commit to long-term drugs but if your
hair is truly thinning there is no better treatment than finasteride.

And one thing that I did not understand when I was your age was that
once a follicle stops producing hair, it will never be the same. You might
get some growth out of it but the vast majority of hairs that finasteride
or minoxidil can regrow will never be as good as the original hair shaft
especially if you wait until the scalp is bald before starting. Starting
finasteride before the damage is done is your best bet in my opinion.

If I had to do over... I would have been on finasteride for life.

I've been meaning to ask, where do people get Proscar from? I really want to switch over and I think my doctors won't commit to it for me, bc of breaking it up and women, w/e. If it's all the same, I'd really like to make a switch soon. $76 a month as opposed to $50 which can last me 5 months. Is there a way to just get a prescription for Proscar online or do most of your doctors give prescriptions to Proscar? I'm weary of online drugs. I just don't want to be ripped off anymore by Propecia.
