so i've seen that quartering proscar is one of the cheapest ways to take oral finasteride. I'm just wondering if this is a legitamate practice to get the same amount of finasteride as one would get in a propecia pill. Just because it is 5mg, does that mean that it really contains 5x as much finasteride as propecia, or may some of that weight be due to filler, nonactive, ingredients?

Yes, of course it contains 5x as much finasteride as Propecia, and yes, of course it also contains some fillers and inactive ingredients.
