i was using kirkland minoxidil twice a day and ru 58841 in eth/PG 70/30, i had a lot of flakes and itch, I think that the flakes are due to kirkland so I stopped it*the last week, I am using now a free PG minoxidil, that use glycerin, now I don't have itch, and lees flakes, today is the first day that I noticealble flakes, but are like a second skin, and appear in a few days, is like an accumulation, it appear when I rub the skin with a comb, but i have a lot of less flakes than with kirkland, i think that is the PG in the ru vehicle, I use about 0,45 ml of PG everyday, so i want to eliminate the flakes, could work add a little % of glycerin like 1-5% to ru vehicle, could help?
Or I could use 85 % eth and 15% glycerin,*
anyone knows if glycerin is effective as PG?
Could the flakes be caused by other thing?

I'm currently using Kirklands. I switched to it after using Rogaine for 6 months. After only a few days on the switch I got a considerable amount of flake-age that was so bad that it made me down my dose to 1x/day. I'm still not sure if they're dandruff flakes or residue left behind from the liquid. It seems like you're having the same problem. So what's the difference between this PG stuff and glycerin? I'm honestly content with the liquid as it is, but looking into an option that causes less flakes could be interesting!

I use kirkland topical and I also have the flaking and the crazy itch. I heard the foam is much better and if I am correct doesn't contain PG. It sucks because the price is so good for kirkland topical. The foam is twice the price. I might have to make the switch though because this itch is killing me.

Are you using it twice a day? After bumping my use to once a day the itch wasn't much of a problem. I still flake but not anywhere near as much as I was with twice a day. The results are just too good to stop though. After 6 months with the foam, I saw less progress than I did than the (almost) 2 months with the liquid.

I use it twice a day, and I use the recommended dose of 1ml. I don't want to risk going to just once a day.
