Propica or Proscar

I have been told by many people here that there is no diffrance between the 2 and now that Propica has gone up in price again $176.00 for 3 months i am thinking of switching back to Proscar but i am worried about the dose?
is there an easyer way of taking it other then cutting it into 5 which is impossible..
also all doctors i have talked to have said it would be a mistake to switch.

when i switched from Proscar to Propica i did notice a diffrance in the shedding it may have been timing but you ever know.

1. Disolve pill (i think ethanol) and drink 1/5 the solution per day
2. Take 4x per week, skip 5th day

My question came up again do to a chat I had with dermatologist who said that when cutting the Proscar you can cause ups and downs in the dosage of finasteride in the blood stream and could make it less effective. I must admit when I switch from Proscar to Propica the shedding slowed right down now it may have been the timing but I am nervous so I wanted to reassure my self. :shock:
And for the record I will post something as many times as I need to so that I can make a decision I am comfortable with :freaked2: . I am aware of everything people are saying but some one may have come up with a better way you never know.

I have also gotten a lot of PM's from people statng that they felt that they did better after switching to Propica.

My question is also based on my personal experience with the products and I am trying to decide if it was just timing or possibly more. As with every one else here I do not want to do anything to hurt my fight.

As for me being an experience poster I know what I know I help when I can and I ask when I have tuff decisions to make. I like most people here do need some Reassurance at times.
