Propecia vs. Finasteride 5mg

I used Propecia for about two years and had great results. I wanted to save some bucks, so I asked my doctor about an alternative and he prescribed Finasteride 5mg. I cut them up in fourths and take one per day. Now I am experiencing hair loss like I never did while taking the Propecia. Should be the same exact thing, but this result is not showing it. Does anyone have advice on this?

It's not exactly the same thing. Your dosages will now be slightly, or possibly, very different. You could try dissolving each proscar in 5 ml alcohol, and taking one mL (or 1.25 if you want a more accurate comparison with your current regimen) each day to achieve more consistent dosages. Let us know how this goes if you do end up trying this.
