I think its established that propecia can cause early Telogen Effluvium... a massive SHED... everyday my hair gets worse.... especially in the frontal region.. there is no way that hair could get this bad in only 6 weeks... i mean really, really bad... i'm thinkin of stopping propecia for a few weeks...

Stopping would be the worst thing you could do. Stick with it and ride out the shed and I'll bet you'll be pleased with the end results. Good luck.

It obvious your understanding of Telogen Effluvium, sheds, and function of Finasteride is wholly inaccurate. You don't even have the most basic understanding down. You need to read the information side http://www.hairlosstalk.com and way less of the forums.

I don't mean to sound so harsh, I really don't, but you really need to spend some time educating yourself. I think it would be best if you forgot everything you think you know about the subject and start over.

If you can't find the information on the other part of the site, send me a PM and I will send you every link you need ok? Don't worry, your gonna do fine.

Propecia sheds usually stop by month 6. For me it stopped by month 4.

If you want results, you have to ride out the shed and deal with it.

If you want to lose more hair in the long run, stop Propecia now and destroy the momentum youve got going with it.

no, i've been educating myself plenty.... according to Dr. Lee, finasteride can cause a major shed... Telogen Effluvium can exist in accellerated male pattern baldness.. (I've seen my derm, she told me i have a bit of Telogen Effluvium and early male pattern baldness acting simulatenously)

Tomorrow I am going to post a portion of an email sent to me by Dr. Lee a few days ago, where he advised me to stop taking Propecia. I have always been told that Propecia can only help, it cannot hurt, but in my specific case, according to Dr. Lee, it can hurt. I'll be sure to post it tomorrow, I am not just jerking your chain.

I don't recommend quiting finasteride. REPEAT I DON'T RECOMMEND QUITING FINASTERIDE. The vast majority of people taking finasteride suffer no problems of this kind and a few shed within the first few months of treatment. Since you've only just started propecia you could just be going through a normal shed, which will stop after a few months.

Read this link as it may help
