Propecia Side Effects

I'm currently decided between Propecia and regaine. Propecia seems to be the better option and I'm aware that the side effects can only really effect 1 or 2% and there is a good chance I might not get any at all.

Problem is that I'm on the anti-depressant Citalopram and one of it's side effects is loss of libido, something which has actually affected me, be it only slightly. So when weighing up the pros and cons one of the major cons is that if I were to start on Propecia and experience side effects they'd kind of double up as it were and I'd be left with no sexual function, not to mention I already suffer from minor gyno...

Do you guys think it's worth the risk of potentially destroying my libido, especially seeing as I've been having minor problems already with a different drug or should I just leave it and go with the slightly less desirable option of Minoxidil?

I usually recommend propecia for any kind of hair loss, but damn you already have suffered some loss of libido and gyno. Kind of playing with fire, but I am no doctor. What does your Doctor think? If you are going to start, have you considered microdosing? That might be a safer way to go.

Currently my libido is actually higher than pre-finasteride and orgasms feel better.

That being said, don't underestimate the possibility of side effects.

I was informed that an increase/change in breast tissue only happened very rarely, yet lo and behold, it seems it may be happening to me and quite a few others.

If I could trade potential moobs with my pre-finasteride mild ED, I would without hesitation.

High libido from taking finasteride can actually be a really bad sign, usually it follows by a massive crash to zero libido, can be overnight from what I've read. I honestly would reccommend you get off it but that could do more harm than good, other than that I would suggest you get on a good zinc supplement, that can boost your testosterone. Not trying to scare you, I've read a lot of stories of people's libido being higher after being on it and eventually crashing HARD. Can be years before the crash happens or months, who knows.

Hi Baylife.

That video was crap. One pill isn't going to do anything. It's 100 percent psychological at that point. Just stupid what people come up with.

I would use minoxidil and finasteride together, not "one or the other". If you are satisfied with just maintaining your hair don't even bother adding minoxidil
