Im now 20 years old and I started taking finasteride 1 mg last January after noticing some relatively mild recession at the corners of my hairline and my hairloss seemed to have totally stopped for the first 5 and a half months. At around the six month mark i started to shed quite a bit more than before and all my hair on the top of my head was quite thinner than a month prior. What's odd to me is that before I started I just had a mild receding hairline and now it's diffuse thinning and my hairloss is starting to become noticeable. I'm about to end my seventh month of it and the shedding doesn't appear to have slowed (I can't part my hair anymore it's so thin). I would give anything to just have the hair I did two months ago.
Is this a fabled shed? Is it likely to grow back thicker or what should I expect?
