propecia, saw palmetto users...

Ive been taking super saw palmetto extract for a while and my hair seems a lot thinner and lifeless.

Can propecia cause your hair to thin at first for the first month or 2? I have read a couple guys in here saying their hair seems to get more thin while they where on propecia.

I read in an article that saw palmetto is probly the best alternative to propecia without the side effects.

Saw palmetto has the same side effects as propecia, possibly more.

And the only reason hair would continue to thin would be because it's either A) not strong enough to counter the barrage of DHT, or B) it takes longer to kick in.

Or C) You're screwed.

I agree with Stingray when I first started Saw palmetto 360mg a day I got super strong and aggressive at the gym. That lasted about a week, then I sort of calmed down and lost a bit of my sexual desire, believe me its true I live with my girlfriend and have pussy whenever I want it. I wasnt really to interested for a while. My dick did not get limp or impotent but I did notice that the size of my ejaculate was much smaller. The no interest part laste about two weeks then I came back as normal but my ejaculate still seemed low until I started Arginine which made it huge.

The problem is that I don't think SP did all that much for my hair. It still continued to thin out quite a bit. I will try Propecia soon but I think you should not underestimate Saw Palmetto and its effects. Trust me this was not in my head because at the time I did not even know you could get sides from SP.

I dont actually expect regrow with the SP. Just maintain and thicken maybe. So far I havent lost any hair that I have noticed so it seems to be doing its job. I just think my hair seems thiner.

Also redbone how long did you take the SP for? It's like propecia you shouldn't see results with it for a while.

I also have noticed I have more energy when I started taking the SP. Wierd.

I dunno if im wierd but i really don't care if I lose some libido. I would choose hair over it in a second.

I think sex is a very strong weakness and temptation.

GIGGSY- I dont have a scanner at the moment. I just start tripping every once in a while and make my situation seem worse than it is. I need about half an inch of regrowth on my right temple to get my original hairline back. On my left temple I need just thickening not really 2 much regrowth. Some people can do it some people cant. Im hoping I will be one of the lucky ones.
