I am probably going to start Propecia. Since I am kinda gyno and acne prone would you all suggest to start with .5 mg. first and see what happens and go from there or start with 1 mg. and if I start getting those sides then go to .5 mg a day? What do you all think about just using .5 mg. a day? Do you think it is just as effective as 1 mg. a day?

Some people have suggested that it is, and that even smaller percentages will work as well, but you should wait until they come along and back this up.

Just a question: How do you know you're prone to Gyno?
When I was very young, let's say 12, when I started puberty, I got a bad case of it, and even up to today I still have a very slight case of it. But not very noticeable though.
I also remember using supplements that are supposed to enhance testosterone production like some of the pro hormones and I started to get it all over again. That was not to long ago when I tried the sh*t. I am sure glad that they are banning them. Matter of fact I think they already have banned them.

Ok. Mate, I'm no expert but if I were you I would look for other treatments. If you have already had Gyno I guess there's a chance it will come up again. There are a whole heap of topical treatments out there, just a few of them would be spironolactone, Revivogen & Proxiphen (All DHT inhibitors). Do a search on this forum to educate yourself in these treatments.

Just my 2 cents.

I already am on some good topical dht inhibitors/blockers. I just thought if I were to throw in some Propecia it would make it more complete. I've already had some good progress with my topicals. I'm also taking minoxidil as well.
I guess I could try the Propecia, but the first signs of gyno I get( ichy nipples), get off of it quick! Not unless I could find something that will go against the gyno and other related estrogenic like effects.
Off the topic, why do you call yourself PartTimeNinja? I happen to study ninjutsu. It's a very good fighting art. I like it.

Just start with the 1MG Propecia for a couple of months and if it does effect you then go down to 0.5MG.

or even 0.2mg which has been shown to be almost as effective as 1mg (actual figures on this forum somewhere) but with a lower incidence of side effects.

Cool. No there's not really any good reason for my On-screen name...
Just kinda like it I guess - my potentially name my child that...
