propecia nad facial hair growth

i am 19 years old and am probably about an nw3 (back of my head and crown are fine, i just have really thin island hairline). i've recently been thinking about taking propecia to atleast maintain what i have so i dont look like george costanza by 23, but i don't feel like i've totally developed my facial hair yet. is there any link between facial hair growth and propecia? meaning if i start taking propecia will it stunt the facial hair growth process? i guess i kind of have to choose between hair on my face or hair on my head

Yes, if Propecia works for you and maintains the hair on your head, it will probably stunt the facial hair growth, too.

Theoretically dht is responsible for secondary male sexual characteristics such as body and facial hair. So in theory if science is right stopping dht should stop facial hair from every growing and hairloss. I personally think its a little more complicated then DHT and testosterone is involved somewhere but science hasnt figured that out yet.

i started finasteride with 20 (im 21 now) and my facial hair has been developing since then. probably slower though i dont know. i wouldnt worry about that as hair is a lot more important at least for me

nope, it has no effect. if it did, you wouldnt see people going through painful procedures like electorlysis to remove their facial hair.

Well, it doesn't kill the facial hair that is there already, but it could stop you from getting more of it if you're still in your teens/early 20s (or slow it down).

As discussed in another post, even my fairly extreme coctail of meds hardly puts a dent in facial hair growth, and that's true of every other TS I know too.

IPL / Laser / Eelectro are the only ways to really shift facial hair.
