So I've been on propecia for 17 months now. I have had re-growth on my temples, nothing blockbuster but clearly there are a bunch of hairs that have sprouted, healthy dark hairs. So why is the rest of my head getting slowly thinner? Obviously the hairs on my receded temples were the first to go before propecia as in most cases which I guess says that they are most dht sensitive. You would think the rest of my head would thicken up or at least stay the same before my temples ever showed any progress but that doesnt seem to be the case at the moment. Just doesnt make any sense. Anybody have any ideas about this or experience like mine. Top of my head just is diffuse thining.
Propecia growth and effectiveness...I just dont get it.

I got a similar experience.
Been on propecia for nearly 2 years, lots of vellous regrowth at temples but contunued or even increase in diffuse thinning.
I say increase in diffuse thinning but it might still be less diffuse than if i wasn't on propecia
