Check the site out below, I think it can be informative for newbies.. Also, what I found weird is on the CAUTION bit it said this: Cautions: While Propecia is generally a very safe medication for males over 12 years of age, there are certain precautions that should be taken during its use.

12 years of age? What the hell..? Never heard of that!

!!!

12 YEARS OLD!!!!

There's no way that someone gave Propecia to a bunch of 12 year olds. Maybe this is just hypothetical. I was under the impression that we needed DHT during puberty so our weenies could grow. Any science types out there up to explaining this one?

Interesting find mate.

Cheers.

I think they mean safe as in it won't cause adverse effects outside of it's functionality.

Like giving aspirin to children under 12 could cause reyes syndrome... finasteride is benevolent as in it won't cause any malicious reactions.

Altering hormones at any age is a gamble with the devil, though.

Probably a typo girls -- don't get your panties in a wad.

On that same page, they write, "This medication has not been tested for safety and effectiveness in children, and is not generally recommended for them."

If you wanna be sure, just e-mail them. But I'd reckon it's a typo.

uhhh...what's up with this? (from that website)

Sexual intercourse - Women of childbearing age, or women who are pregnant, should not be exposed to the semen of a male partner who uses Propecia. This medication can cause genital deformities in male infants.

another typo or should i start storing my gun spit in a jar lest it get on the toilette seat?

My nephew just turned 12. I'll start him on a course of 1mg/day for 6 months and report findings back here.

Orginally, this warning was included with Propecia. But Merck has since recinded this warning as clinical evidence has conclusively shown the semen of men on Propecia is not significantly different from those not on the drug.
