Propecia and Rogaine combination

I've been using Propecia for about 1.5 years and it has stabilized my hair loss, but I did not notice any hair growth in that time period. I added Rogaine about 1 year ago. I didn't notice much change to my hair, until about 3 weeks ago I noticed an almost miracles regrowth in my hair, not only in the crown, but also a lot on top and some on the temples.

I was actually considering hair transplant about a month ago, but since seeing the recent growth, I think I'm going to put that on hold.

Has anyone else experienced sudden hair growth like this after a prolong usage of Rogaine/Propecia?

a year is generally when you notice the optimal regrowth of your hair when on these treatments. You took propecia, which kept the hair you had, but didn't combine minoxidil until later. Since minoxidil is a hair follicle stimulator, minoxidil and propecia in combination works much better then individually.


anyways, yes people have had to wait 8-12 months before noticing results. Yours sounds like a rare case if you experiened great growth at the one year mark though. Congradulations.
