Hello!

Was hoping to give a brief synopsis of my situation and receive some suggestions on my next move.

I began losing my hair sophomore year in college. Very light shedding and recession in the frontal hair line. Senior year I began Propecia coupled with Rogaine. I have been doing this for about 9 months now and have seen very poor results. It even seems like I may be shedding more than when I first started. Doctors and others in the internet world have told me to stick with the regiment for at least 1 year and 6 months, which I intend to do.

About 3 months ago I began taking oral biotin daily and Nizoral shampoo every other day. Again, no positive results yet.

So Ill get to my question. I would like to introduce another product with Propecia and the Rogaine. I was looking at the S5 cream or one of Dr. Lee's Xandrof products. My hair line and density of hair really is not that bad, nothing that I couldn't live with. I just want to STOP the shedding before it gets any worse. What product would the be the best out of those two(assuming to be blocking the DHT). Finally, how would I couple a topical cream with some sort of Minoxidal.

Thanks for your help!!!!

From the above situation, you are still in the panic stage and this will result in high stress. Stress actually speeds up hairloss! Do you go to the gym much or do you occupy your mind on other things?

I bet you still look at the mirror everyday to see how much hair you have lost?

Anyway, just to say.... this depends on your physiology - propecia if used everyday should maintain your hair or slow down your hairloss up to a point.

If your body was originally programmed to lose hair at a fast rate, propecia can only slow it down only slowly.

Minoxidil in some people causes shedding but not everyone. Do you still have itchy scalp? Does the nizoral work?

Adding regime after regime will just panic you and increase the amount of money you are spending.

What diet are you eating each day? Are you just having fried or oily foods daily without any balanced diet? Are you constantly having foods out (i.e. no own cooked food at home)? Fresh? Not packaged or ready made?

All the above, have some nasty flavourings and even the dreaded MSG! This can harm your body alot.

Cook fresh! Buy fresh food. Balance the diet.

If nothing of the above work after 18 months, get true advice from a specialist.
