propecia and hormones

I was on propecia for about a year. Its been a year now since i stopped taking propecia. I remember during the last few months before i quit, I was off and on propecia. For example, 2 weeks off and then 1 month back on and then another 2 weeks off and another month before i completely quit. My question is: Can this have a permanent effect on my hormones or the process in which testosterone is converted into DHT. Im am just worried that the inconsistent on and off of propecia might cause my normal hormone process to change permanently such as the normal process of 5-AR binding with testosterone?..any thoughts on this?
