Think I'm starting finasteride this week- I'm 25 and have been thinning for 2 years. I drink usually 1 time a week Friday or Saturday, sometimes 2x a week- Is that a problem with finasteride?

Drinking Ethyl Alcohol shouldn't have any effect on Finasteride. You'll be fine.

actually the opposite may be true. finasteride may have an effect on your ability to drink or enjoy/tolerate alcohol according to some (minor) studies. Finasteride is metabolised in the liver.

Yes, Finasteride is heavily metabolized in the liver.

If I'm interpreting your post correctly, did you state that Finasteride could have an effect on your ability to drink, enjoy, and tolerate alcohol according to some studies? Interesting, is Dutasteride also heavily metabolized in the liver as well since it's similar to Finasteride? I'm pretty sure it is though.

Just wondering cause I'm a drinker myself. :beer:
