Problem When Applying Minoxidil Need Help

So, a bit off topic but when I apply minoxidil often a bit of it starts dropping down my face before I wipe it.
The thing is that my eyebrows started to become so thick its just hilarious. Hairs are growing where I didn't have any before. Also, some hairs popped also on my cheeks as well. I absolutely hate it. And its not even close to where my beard is, the hair are basically just under my eyes. What should I do to stop this? How do you apply minoxidil in order for it no to drop all around? I just don't want to my face become hairy.

When you apply it just rub it in properly. That's what I do but it still drips sometimes. That's the problem with liquid minoxidil
