Hey guys, so a week ago I decided to get a buzz cut from my thick hair as I noticed I was developing a noticeable bald spot on my crown there but I'm worried because once I got a buzz cut, which was a #2 on the top and 1 on the sides, I noticed in light, I could see the outline of typical male pattern baldness on the crown where it looks like the majority of the scalp is diffuse thinning. I'm worried. Will this be concealed once my hair grows back normally? Will my hair go back to how it once was after this buzz cut? I've never had my hair cut short so ever in my life but this bald spot I had was becoming noticeable. On another note, what measures should I take to prevent further hair loss? Should I be worried? Thank you guys for your time. For clarification, I'm also 21 years old so this is scary to me.

•The 1st pic is how I look look from a normal view with my buzz cut.
•The 2nd is a view of my buzzed scalp under light
•The 3rd pic is of how I had my hair the day before I cut it.

Diffuse thinning in a Norwood 6 pattern. Relatively early though, finasteride for a year then re evaluate.

It might be my opinion, but i think that age is a major factor in this.

I notice that by age 30 just about every buzz cut looks diffuse.

Some of those guys never bald at all.

It should grow back normally if you use finasteride and Minoxidil together.

Unfortunately, even with non balding hair, a buzzcut can make it look thinner.

Any time your scalp shows, it will look thinner. Hate to say it, but it's true. Sometimes
a comb over is the best way to hide it.

This is very true. I've known a few people that regularly buzzcut and keep it very short and I always thought they do that because they are balding but eventually it turned out they were very thick/dense NW2's, but the short buzzcut and NW2 gave the illusion that they're already in advanced balding stage. Sometimes diffuse thinners with longer hair that looks thin, even though you might have areas where scalp shows, is better than having a buzzcut if you don't have the face to pull off a buzzcut. If you have the face to pull off the buzzcut look then it's a different story.
