hi all, new to these forums

So the past 6 months or so i'm beginning to notice that i'm shedding 'thinner' hair in the shower, on the bed pillow etc...by that i mean i'm seeing strands of hair that are thinner/fine/fragile. So does that mean hair loss has started for me? Any sign of hair loss isn't noticeable yet. At least i don't think so.

I'm 23, and male pattern baldness runs in my family. If it has started for me i just wanted to know if i should start preventative treatment now? or wait until it's FULLY noticeable. thanks for any help and advice

If you think you're losing hair, you probably are.

Best to pursue light treatments as early as possible. Look into finasteride, it's simple and effective and maintaining.

Id go to a dermatologist as soon as you can. I did it the first 2 weeks of noticing hair loss. this was 2 months ago and i'm desperatly waiting it out impatiently.

your derm will probabaly suggest propecia. it works for most men so i've seen and that's why i'm on it.

im glad I waited 10+ years before getting on finasteride after noticing my hairloss. The dramatic changes are so damn uplifting. After improvement and some vellus at a little under 3 mos., I feel like im right at the point now where the big changes are gonna take place because im noticing much more longer vellus hairs coming in at a much quicker pace. Im still in a bit of disbelief at how well a tiny, tiny 1/4 piece of Proscar works for the hair, pretty damn amazing.
