(possibly unwarranted) paranoia about hairloss

Hello.

Now before you get angry, I know that you probably get a lot of people like me. The typical paranoid 20 year old that probably isn't suffering any kind of hairloss. and that you probably dislike people like me. However don't worry. I just have a question that I'd really like answered. After it's answered I'll probably leave you guys alone as I really don't want to offend anyone.

My question is as follows: Since a little while ago, I've been really paranoid about my hair, despite being somewhere around norwood 1 or 2. My cowlick started to look like a bald spot, I was sure that I was losing hair despite my hairline being pretty much similar to the way it was 8 months ago (still quite asymmetrical) and every single hair I shed just fed my paranoia, despite the knowledge that losing 100 hairs a day is nothing out of the ordinary.

Now I come from a family tree that has little to no balding. My older brother has no balding, my two older cousins have no balding, my grandfather had no balding, my uncle from my mother's side has no balding, my father has no balding etc.

However: does that put me out of the risk zone for the most part? or is most balding caused by things other than family genetics?

Once again, I'm genuinely sorry if my presence offends anyone, but I just reckoned that you'd know more about hairloss than people at yahoo answers for instance so I was hoping that I could get some help here.

Thank you in advance for any help.
