I am in a peculiar situation because I committed a mistake in my treatment and make things (temporarily?) worse. I hope to get some advice and feedback regarding my experience and suggested next steps. So if you guys could help me out, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

My Story: I always had a pushed-back hairline and at around 26 I noticed it slowly creeping back. I also spoke to my mom's dad (which is the genetic influence) and from his pics, that was roughly the age he started losing hair as well. He is obviously completely bald now so I began with treatment at the beginning of 2016. I started with 1% Finasteride daily and 5% Minoxidil twice daily. I did not start with Nizoral. Progress looked good, if I wasn't mistaken, little hairs were popping up on the hairline.

My Issue: I researched the potency of Dutasteride vs Finasteride and bought 2 months worth of dutasteride. When my finasteride ran out, I began with dutasteride. DISASTER. Hair was just literally shedding. I know shedding can happen, but this seemed abnormal. I used it for 1.5 months and ditched it. Did some better research and realized that I stepped up a drug that I wasn't supposed to and immediately dropped back to Finasteride 1%. However, the crazy shedding hasn't really stopped since April 2017. So it's been over 6 months now and I would like to ask your guys' advice on this forum because I know you have all been through it.

Current Problem: It's been over 6 months of up to 30 hairs a day and the effects are adding up. I am seeing gaps in my hair which I wasn't seeing before dutasteride. The hairline, in my eyes, has receded as well. Under light, my scalp is definitely more noticeable. For comparison, here are some shots:

Man we are messing with you, you're already on treatment, there's not much you can do, except maybe add Nizoral to your regimen
But, even a non balding person can loose up to 100 hair/day, even more so i would not worry that much about that.
It's normal to loose some hair, even on treatment, that's just part of their life cycle and you seems to be a good responder to finasteride, they will most likely regrow

Ok listen, and I was wondering, because I read that upping the dose/intake can worsen things (or maybe that was some sh*t too), did I f*** anything up by skipping to dutasteride then back to finasteride? I mean yeah, I'm obsessing, I know, but having the correct information helps too.

Today I bought Nizoral and researching similar other things to deal with inflammation build up and assist the other drugs.

You "dislike" my post. Lol, is that even possible? Haha. Care to explain why, or just being a twat?

There is zero evidence of hairloss in those photos. Perhaps it would be more evident from frontal photos. The lighting in the photos is too different to compare accurately, but there looks to be an improvement in the second pic. It certainly hasn't got worse.

Either way, there is nothing anyone on this forum can do to help you. EVERYONE sheds that much hair whether or not they are balding, and if you are on medication there is nothing more you can do.

You likely have other psychological issues if you focus on this however when it is obvious there is no issue.

I don't know about that tho, but if i had to make an educated guess here, i'll say no.
