Hello everyone. I've never in my life even remotely thought about hair loss or anything like that. I've always had really fast growing hair and never felt the need to worry about it, but today I noticed while putting on this new styling thing called "pumode" (I think that's how you spell it) and my hair was wet, that could really see my scalp. Please keep in mind that this is the second day of me using this. Also, I don't think I've noticed any kind of thinning or hair falling out or anything at all. No receding hair line that I can tell. I will say I have been trying out different hair creams and stuff. The following are pictures of my hair with it wet. The second image aparently it had grabbed a ton of my har and pulled it over. When I roughed it up some, that was the first image. The final picture is one of me like a month ago.

Vertex balding. Hop on finasteride, should be able to recover significant amount.

The thing is that I've been on finasteride and had horrible symptoms from it (not for balding). Is there really no other way?? And so you're sure? I am balding? I mean when it dries, I could swear I have a full head of hair.

The second picture makes it appear you're balding.. You look to have pretty solid hair though. I wouldn't panic too hard. Do you research and figure out what's best for you. finasteride seems to be the thing everyone on here automatically recommends.

Here's how it looks now that it's dryer. I asked my dad who still has plenty of hair but has thinned some so knows a good bit said it was just the way it was colmed, but I don't know. Keep in mind that the gunk is still in there and i made sure to part it like normal so it isnt colmed over or anything. What do you think of the updated pic?View attachment 20160115_112644.jpg

Crown seems a bit thin.. Overall thick hair. I would keep an eye on it and further assess if I were you.

So you think like there's a chance I shouldn't be too freaked out? Maybe just pay attention to make sure? I showed my parents that picture, and they said it looks nothing like me in real life (the one from earlier that looked horrible).

Freaking out doesn't do anything for you.. You'll be fine either way. Your hair is in better shape than lots of guys. Just keep an eye on it and if it appears to regress more act accordingly.

Maybe start building a regimen.. A few good supps(Biotin, MSM, Fish Oil, SP, etc. etc.) and try using Nizoral a few times a week with another good shampoo in between. Try washing your hair with colder water. I think hot water can cause hair loss. At least for me it does.. I never put my head under hot water.

Just get on finasteride, doesnt look bad but as soon as you noticing any potential thinning its best to hop on. Most people when they realize they need it already have noticeable hairloss

I have been on the medication in the past for other reasons. I still suffer from side effects caused by it. .
