Hi, I'm new to all this hair loss stuff. I guess i just never realized when i looked at my dad that i was going to lose my hair eventually.

I am 29 years old, i have been thinning a little for about 7 years. I still have a full head of hair. My hair is just so thick that you can tell that it is getting a little bare up there. I also have noticed that my scalp has been a little painful and my hairline has receded about a half an inch at the temples.

I guess i was in denial for a while, but that all changed 2 weeks ago when a coworker sent a low blow my way in the form of a bald joke. It bugged me so bad that i have been researching ways to stop it ever since. That has caused me an even greater sense of frustration, because nobody seems to have the answer. I don't have any delusions of the thick long shaggy mane that i once possessed coming back, but come on guys!!!
We live in a time when all the people in power are old balding guys and we don't have any solutions for male pattern baldness.

Well, with that out of the way. I need help! I want something all natural that i can use to keep the hair i have, and possibly grow a little back.

The problem i have is some of the sides I've read about scare me to death. the two things that have appealed to me the most are folligen, and revivogen. I also have access to minoxidil cheap as i work for the company that makes it, but i am concerned about making my hair worse. For about a week i have been taking my vitamens, (Multi,B complex,Fish and flax). I also got AM crew conditioner and nizoral shampoo.
I know that if i could even just keep the hair that i have i could be happy. I just need a little direction.

Help me Please!!!

well you should see a derm and get a prescription for Finasteride

either propecia or proscar will do...you can cut the proscar into 4ths to save money that's what alot of people do

Nizoral shampoo is great for scalp irritation and is a mild anti-androgen i recommend using that aswell

the topical route "minoxidil" is your choice ..its kind of an inconvenience but if you really care about keeping your hair you should suck it up and stick to your regiment

minoxidil AND finasteride ARE LIFELONG COMMITMENTS YOU CANT USE THEM SPORADICALLY THEY DO THE BEST WHEN DONE AS RECOMMENDED IN A DAILY ROUTINE

all these are the "big 3" and are usually the best way to go

in the time being you might want to use some toppix or concealer to hide the "thinness" and prevent anymore jokes :puke:

ps. my hair loss is very insignificant, im probably a NW2 with deep (not wide) temples more than the usual mature hairline

im on the big 3 with topical spironolactone to maintain and possibly get back my adolescent hairline
