Hey everyone I have been browsing the site and have been impressed with some of the info I have learned. Anyways, my name is Sean and I am a pretty healthy 23 year old male...6'3" 195 lbs ( idk if weight/height have anything to do with a regimen). I have always had seeminly thin hair like you could always see part of my scalp but it was nothing serious and I never gave it much thought until the past few years. It seems that my hair especially around the top is starting to thin and it has been more noticable the past 6-8 months. I also have a widows peak and have had it since I was a little kid so my hairline was always a little bit further back than in the middle obviously. What I really need help with is what I should taking to help reverse this thinning whether it be better vitamins or propecia or finasteride, I really am kind of lost in what would be the best approach for me. I bought some Nizoral and have been using it for a couple of weeks. Any thoughts? please let me know. Thanks.

Start with finasteride and nizoral. Then depending how bad you feel about the situation add minoxidil (rogaine). Its pretty simple really, only three things have been proven to work, add those and then you can play around with other products like folligen, spironolactone, revivogen....

the side effects are overly exaggerated if u ask me. internet is not a good place to learn of the side effects a drug can have because ppl who have no side effects and regrowing dont care to join hairloss forums. majority of the ppl you will find here are the ones who think way too much about the sides and imagine their nipples getting puffier or dicks falling off. that is not the case. i have been taking propecia for about 7 months now, and have no sides to speak of. you may experience some sides in the beginning but they will almost certainly disappear... they did for me. its just the body getting adjusted to the drug. if u are serious about saving ur hair propecia is a must. :punk:

I say get on the Big 3, if you experience any side effects , then just quit the propecia. Don't knock till u try it.

Propecia has to be prescribed by your doctor or a walk in clinic, and personally i don't trust online retailers so i stick with my doctor's rx prescription and go to my local pharmacist for my monthly dose. Although there are apparently some reputable online suppliers according to some of this site's postings, check the threads. Some ppl swear by these online retailers.

ok thanks alot ...do you think it would be hard to convince my doctor to get me on it??

It shouldn't be hard getting your doctor to prescribe it for you, he'll just want to make shure that u have male pattern baldness, I've heard of ppl. going to walk in clinics to get their Rx
