Please help! Advice to a newbie

As I stated above, I'm reaching desperate times with my hair and wanted to converse with you gentlemen on whether there's anything I'm not doing, that I probably should be. Here is my background.



I'm 29, going on 30 and have had a receding hairline since I was in my early 20's. I treated it with Rogaine for years with modest results, but have had to use a wonderful baldness-disguising product named Dermmatch in order to keep those around me in the dark to my problem. Here in the last six months, I've changed up my regiment to using a ketoconazole shampoo named Regenpure, Lipogaine, and using a 1.5 derma-roller on my head 3 times a week. Since that time, I have seen hair regrowth around my receding hairline, as well as some in the back, but only small portions for now. The patch of hair slicing down the middle of my crown was not nearly as noticeable before. That said, is there anything I'm not doing, or using, that I probably should be? I'm hesitant to buy Finsteride or the other one that starts with a 'D' because of the sexual side effects said to be associated with it. I have also been thinking of taking the 10,000 mcg biotin pills.

You're using a Ketoconazole shampoo, which is very helpful.

Are you still using Minoxidil? It's definitely recommended to stay on it if it's actually helped you to get results.

About the 5-AR inhibitors, the other one that starts with a 'D' is Dutasteride, it's stronger than Finasteride. You're really going to need to get on one of them if you're serious about stopping your hair loss. And with side effects, yes, that's a possibility. With Finasteride it's an approximate 2% chance and with Dutasteride it's an approximate 5% chance of getting side effects. The thing is, if you try either one of them and you do get side effects, you can just quit the medication and they'll go away. So the point is, it's not going to hurt to try.

Are you still using Minoxidil? It's definitely recommended to stay on it if it's actually helped you to get results.

Either one will be fine, but you'll probably want to go for Dutasteride if you want to try to get the best results, it's approximately 30% more effective than Finasteride.

About acquiring them, I strongly recommend to talk to your doctor about getting a prescription for one of them. Trying to get these medications online can be a bit risky.

You can't get a script for dutasteride for hair loss only for an enlarged prostate . It depends what country your from but you should be able to get it from online pharmacys just google around

I'm in UK and use Oxford Online Pharmacy to buy avodart so it is legitimate the advantage is you don't have to see a doctor but it is expensive , your hair loss seems aggressive to I would use dutasteride .

You can get a prescription for Dutasteride if the doctor is willing to prescribe it as an off-label treatment for male pattern baldness, even though it's only approved currently to treat BPH.

Yes it's possible if you have a generous doctor but unlikely as most don't prescribe it due to the supposed side effects and long term risks that are still unknown . I mean some doctors simply refuse to prescribe Finasteride !! And they say just take some zinc and magnesium that's what my doctor told me ! But it is so much easier to get an online script. Doctors aren't that educated on male pattern baldness , I would avoid them if possible .

don't really need the extra marginal effectiveness of dutasteride. finasteride is fine...

Arachidonic Acid - Nizoral
PGD2 - OC459
PGE2 - Minoxidil, Latanoprost
CD200 - Likely Tofacitinib, Ruxolitinib (Janus Kinase Inhibitors)
CD34 - UNKNOWN SOLUTION

Wounding and Chlorine Dioxide should also be done while on treatments. Also the only oral treatment should be Finasteride, everything else I listed is to be topical ONLY.

i'd rather not pay to see a doctor for him to deny me, so where is it you go to online to get your finasteride?
