I am a male approaching my 40s. My hairs have thinned on the sides, and the part of the back so scalp shows through little in spots.
I went to a free consultation at this place. Of course, I was not seen by a M.D., but the the center director. So I'm sure part of the consultation was a sale endeavor which was. I was told the below.
I have DHT level elevated attacking hair follicles which is causing the hair to thin and make it look like I have less hair in spots.
My questions to other members:
1) I was told there is no test to medically detect elevated DHT level. I do not agree with this. Don't you have to do a blood work to find this out?
2) Per each hair follicle, there are suppose to be 3 to 4 strands, but in my case mostly 1 or a few 2 strands per follicle. Is it really normal to have 3 to 4 strands per hair follicle?
3) I am not going to do this Extreme Hair Theraphy unless a medical doctor can confirm that I really have elevated DHT level, but when you go to an endcrynologist or dermatologist, you should expect to pay 100% out of pocket even if you have insurance... Right?
I am asking this because it makes no sense to say that one hair follicle is suppose to have 3 to 4 hair strands....
Can anyone share their thoughts/wisdom on my three questions please?
