Has anyone ever tried this, and had success? I've lurked here and read about coal tar, but I've found Grandpa's Pine Tar soap, and was wanting to give it a try. The nizoral works, but I want something to put down first, and use on the other days. Thanks

I've started using the same soap but on my body because I want to see if it helps with my psoriasis. It smells very strong (just like a camp fire) so it will likely stink your hair up. Also since it's a soap, it will likely be very drying to your hair. Lastly, the percentage of pine tar isn't disclosed. Between this soap and coal tar shampoo I'd just add coal tar (which was the shampoo used in the propecia trials).

Are you really on 6.25 MG a day of finasteride just for hairloss?

Is there a coal tar shampoo I should be looking for in specific?

in my opinion any would work. I use the cheap generic from Walmart cuz it's half the price of neutrogena tgel and not very drying. As long as the active ingredient is coal tar you should be good.

Thanks. I actually purchased the T-Sal instead, to help with my Nizoral. I really like the soap, and will continue to use it on my body at least
