Perspective. It's not the hair, it's the whole picture.

I saw a man with an amazing head of hair today at the gas station. I pulled up and started filling my tank, he was using the nozzle on the other side of the same pump.

This guy looked to be of some Mediterranean ancestry, I would guess. Olive skin, lots of chest hair (which I found bizarre given the biochemistry of DHT), and what I would describe to be a negative norwood number. I mean, this guy had about an inch clearance between eyebrow and hairline, tops. His hair was thick and lustrous, but his hairline... damn... what a hairline.

To be honest with you, it didn't look right to me. His facial features looked to be aged in his early fifties, I would guess, but his hairline reminded me of Eddie Munster. Way too low. Now, I know this guy has DHT flowing through his blood due to his bushy chest hair, thick beard, and thick eyebrows.. but his scalp hair was almost indifferent to it.

I'm jealous of him for having the thick hair and all, but honestly speaking, I would not trade my hairline for his.

Just a thought... fight on!

I agree, the proposition: The lower the hairline the better is definately false. Personally i'd rather have Joey's hair than Ross' (from Friends), although i'm more Chandlerish in reality. :freaked:

I would agree Gardener, for that fact that I am receeding at the temples and such, it has actually made me (in my opinion) more attractive. I would not trade my hairline for a thick fuller intact hairline.

What I would not like however is if my hair got thinner and thinner. If it stays as it is which it has more or less done for the last year or so then I will be truly happy.

that's the thing, i would kill to have a receeding hairline that was thick. i wouldn't think twice about it. i'd show off my recession proudly. Tons of guys have them and you can make them look cool with some spiky-ness or whatever. They make you look distinguished in my opinion. This norwood 1 i have going on with diffuse thinning is what sucks. Anyone wanna trade?

Same deal here, Trent.

I have such diffuse thinning at the front that calling it a hairline is oxymoronic.

I wouldn't mind a little less Norwoodage, maybe a half to full point drop would be nice, but yea, thickness is key, that's what I've been saying since the beginning. My hairline is 2nd place to thinning when it comes to this battle.
