Who's a fan of it? Who's not a fan of it? It'd be nice to have the opinions of peoplel who've been on it for a while. Also, places to get it cheap would be highly appreciated. (I am UK btw)

Yep! I made a move to Folligen from Tricomin and I gotta say I love it.

I have not had any bad reaction to it (using it full strength) and the good thing is that I can use every other day since it is quite a high amount of CP compared to Tricomin. It has definitley left my scalp better and makes my existing hair thicker!!! What more can I say...I love it!!! :)

I get my Folligen from a website called TRC Biotechnology. I have had no problem ordering from them. They have quick delivery. http://www.trcbio.net/acatalog/trcfolligen.html.

I think it is alot cheaper buying it from the UK because you don't have to pay import duty on it.

Thanks guys... Have ordered. I think it will take the place of Nizoral which I haven't been very impressed with, lately. (not a Nizoral bash, but I just don't think it's for everyone)

I prefer Tricomin, Folligen actually irritated my scalp.

Also, while Folligen may have more copper peptides there is doubt as to whether it actually has more of the specific ones used in the FDA phase II trial shown to grow hair, i.e. the ones in Tricomin.

Yeah I must admit that Tricomin does feel alot better on the scalp, thats the one thing I miss when I use Folligen. But then again, I don't have that much of a reaction to the CP in Folligen.

I am glad you said that because I was looking on the Skin Biology forum and apparantly Dr. Pickart said that Folligen and Tricomin have the same delivery system:

I am the inventor of Tricomin and don't know what they are talking about - "special delivery system". I also published the only papers on the effect of GHK and other copper peptides on copper uptake into cells.

Tricomin contains AHK which is not a nature peptide and not GHK. But salesmen have to say something.

I can't really say the things he said are true. Nevertheless it is quite interesting. I got this info here: http://healthyskin.infopop.cc/groupee/forums/a/tpc/f/1990018252/m/3660031443/r/2650030063#2650030063

I think it just comes down to that some people like Folligen, others like Tricomin.

I still have some of a bottle of tricomin that i've used up very slowly over the last year or something. I just think it'll be nice to see the difference between the two. Tricomin I like, it's just a bit on the expensive side.

Trials don't mean too much to me. Very expensive to go through, especially for something like a haircare product, where the results are measured in months and years, rather than weeks. I'm not surprised many manufacturers prefer to sell their product on the strength of testimonials instead, and pass on the savings to their customers.

i a believer in folligen... below is a article by Dr. Pickart on CP and why the 2nd gen might be better... i use tricomin for a short time... it give me a very slight itch but generally it felt great on the scalp... but other than that, i don't feel it is doing much...

now i am using folligen dilluted with water... it didn't crap out my hair at all but i experience more itch which is getting better as time goes by...

i got mine from skinbiology website... i perfer that than getting from HairLossTalk.com...

Private Ryan, how long have you been using Folligen?? What kind of experiences have you had with shedding?

I have been using it for around a week and I am shedding like crazy, far more than the amount when I used Tricomin.

I am also a believer in Folligen since I actually thinking it is doing something, whereas with Tricomin I just thought it was sitting on my scalp doing nothing.

i have been using folligen for nearly 3weeks...

i am also experience shedding... i think there is 2possible case... it could be the PPG in folligen that cause the problem... i experience the same problem with minoxidil too which cause me to lose hair like a dog... it come with the familar itch and discomfort... so i guess it the same thing...

now i going to dillute it to 30% folligen and 70% water... using only 3-4time per week and see if it will be better...

i strongly suggest you do the same... as skinbiology also say, less is more with CP...

good luck...

I might try folligen or tricomin if Dr P's Prox-N doesn't cut it for me.

However this is unlikely, as Proctor pioneered the use of cps for hairloss, and holds the patents to which he thinks are the best ones. Tricomin and Folligen came out after and have to use other cps. Also, Prox-N has another possible growth stimulant (NANO) and i think its probably cheaper than tricomin.

Tricomin is $46 for 1.5 month supply. Prox-N is $109 for a 4 month supply, (and people say it lasts much longer)

However, Tricomin is proven in at least partial FDA trials, so Prox-N might be a leap of faith.

not shiny from oil or anything. the skin seemed more stretched. it was still shiny directly after washing etc, so was not due to oil or grease. went away a few days after i stopped. don't really konw what it waas but its not too important really

Did you dilute Folligen? Folligen has a high concentration of copper peptides, much higher than Tricomin, and higher even than Skin Biology's strongest skin CU product. Used full strength, many people incur skin irritation at first. The solution is to dilute it, and slowly work up to full strength. I've been using Folligen for well over a year now, I don't remember how long exactly, and I use it every day full strength with no scalp irritation at all. When I first started, it caused my scalp to itch.

Actually Procyte holds the patent on GHK copper peptides, and Pickart has a patent pending on his "second generation" of copper peptides. I use Proxiphen, but don't confuse that with copper peptides. They are two different products, do different things, and may even work synergistically. I use both.

Proxiphen is far more expensive than Folligen.

i just have one of the worst shed during shower just now... tons of hair just rub off my head while i shampoo my hair... wow!!! that was a terrible experience... i think it could be the folligen as it the only thing in my treatment that give me the itch... lately my shedding during shower seem to increase...but nothing like this... guess i going to stop it for a few days and just use it twice per week and see how it goes...

my heart just goes with those hair...

Remember that shedding is hair that you would lose anyway, and hair that will grow back. You might try diluting Folligen rather than using it less often.

I know how you feel mate! I had a massive shed a couple of days ago and I have only been using Folligen for around a week. I haven't even got any irritation to using it full strength on my scalp. The only "irritation" is the shedding!

Does anybody know how long it takes for the hair that has shed to regrow???

i was using it almost daily... now going to cut down to 2-3times per weeks...

thanks for the word... hope it not what i gone through before with minoxidil...
