Well I thought i'de post my fairly positive experience as a past user of the big 3 for any new curious users.
Starting with minoxidil - After about 6-7 days my shed began and it lasted about 2-3 months before it settled down some. Around this time I checked my hairline (which my normal wavy hair was about 3-4 inches all over) and I noticed a lot of half inch or longer hairs all around my hairline. minoxidil apparently didn't do to much for the top of my head but for my hairline it actually worked extremely well in that time period. The downside was when I accidentally used/absorbed to much it would cause my heart to have palpitations and reading how oral minoxidil actually damages/destroys the heart I sort of made connections and decided to stop using it.
Propecia (finpecia I used 1mg) I took this about 3-4 months after minoxidil. The first week I was really nervous so I believe that's why my libido during that time was so low. I decided I needed to chill out so I could see if this was psychosomatic and I found my libido went back to about 95% when i got over the nervousness of taking it the following week. Now I did get the usual side effects of lower libido/watery semen but there was actually a period where my libido actually shot through the roof for some months.
My hairloss after about 2 months on finasteride stabilized completely and I wasn't losing any hair at all. This went on for about 3-4 months until I ran out. At this time I decided I didn't like the idea of the chance of permanently changing my body's chemistry so i quit finpecia/minoxidil/ and my keto shampoo. The first thing I experienced is that my libido dropped quite a bit during this time. It took about 3 months for it to regain to about 95% and i still feel it isn't quite where it was but considering how high it was before im not really complaining. Now since it took from close to 3months to suddenly being almost back to normal i think what would happen if I stayed on it for a year or longer. If it would come back in 3 months or much later and lower % in the end.
*keto shampoo I started at the same time as minoxidil and it helped with itching. Used about 3 times per week. Pretty basic stuff here.*
So, in the end, nothing really different about me except hair shedding now. I think my libido is a bit lower from when i started earlier this year but its pretty minuscule and I think its still going up. The big 3 definitely worked on me and I probably wouldv stayed a norwood 2, but at the 3 month mark of being off it when my libido seemed to rebound quickly, my hair went back to shedding and fast. If im not a nw3 now I probably will be within a few months at this rate. Couldv been fine staying on the big 3 but i'de rather not risk it and just invest in a lab and experiment with stem cells.
**Side note** I always wondered if my hairline was boosted so much from the minoxidil alone or if it was aided (by combination?) by something in my face wash that got into my hairline Ex: Like the peroxide or salycic acid.
