As a matter of fact, Saw Palmetto is an inhibitor stronger than finasteride in vitro: for type II, the inhibiting concentration of finasteride is 7.3nM and that of Saw Palmetto is 7.2μg/ml. For type I, finasteride is considered inefficient with an inhibiting in vitro concentration of 108nM and Saw Palmetto is efficient with a 4.9μg/ml (11) concentration.
