after browsing this forum for a month or so now, all i read are guys accounts of negative side effects associated with finasteride usage. for once i'd like to hear from someone who had no side effects when using finasteride or minimal side effects that eventually dissipated, just to gauge what the true consensus is.

Well how many guys have complained about side affects, 5 or 10 maybe less. How many people use finasteride on here?


I use finasteride, and yes, everyone experiences some discomfort during the first few days of use, but in general I tolerate it quite well. You have to make a judgment. No finasteride = no hair.

16 months no side effects

5 months, no sides other than some shedding, which may have just been male pattern baldness anyway.

7 months---sexual sides went up and down for four months but have leveled out now.

finasteride for 2 months. No sides other than shedding, which like Trent said, could have been male pattern baldness anyway.

Going on 11 months, had sexual sides that went completely away. But it also hasn't done anything for me.

Ending my 6th month. No sides that I ever noticed. I think I'm a 'good responder', so I hope this stuff deals with my diffuse crown/vertex thinning!

At least I don't notice any shedding. I think/hope I will experience some regrowth perhaps in another 6 months.
