I've been slowly balding since I was 20. I'm 45. After 4 or 5 years (at age 20) I basically ignored it, and only had those panic attacks about every few years when someone would say something. Well in 2008 it started to accelerate. I'm a cheap SOB and I'm on generic Minoxidil-5% drops ($20 for 3 months supply). I get out of the shower and place the drops directly on the scalp, then slowly spreading it around with my fingers in ever larger circles. Then more drops and spreading, then let it sit. I brush my teeth, etc. Put my clothes on, then add a palm of hair glue and blow dry. the hair glue is like magic to me since I have thin distribution but thick brittle hair (not thick on the crown of course).

I'm going to go to WalMart and get the generic Finasteride 30 pills for $10.
That's right you heard it $10.
Haven't gone to the Doctor yet to get the prescription.
I think us older guys have prostate and hair loss that come with increased DHT production, so looking at the Finasteride for that too...
