Organic Food

I ate an organic apple once. Tasted about the same. Leafy greens are the most important since they have the most surface area for pesticides. Other than that, I really don't care. I would get organic milk, but it is too expensive. Glad they are selling it though. I think how fresh something is is more important than if it is organic.

I try to eat as much fruit and veg as possible, but I wouldn't pay extra for organic.

There is actually GM in everything these days. The meat we buy is very likely to be fed GM soya, likewise most of the fat and the protein in the processed food is probably from GM crops.

When we have GM in everything, it doesn't make sense to me to pay extra for a few select items.... However, if you do go out of your way, I respect your choice.

My fear is when they start feeding transfat to cows to fatten them faster, and it gets into our milk. Try avoiding transfat then.

I believe that's how mad cow disease spread. The cows were being fed animal proteins and their metabolisms were reacting to it.

I have nothing against GM food, but we need proper long term trials before messing with mother nature.
