Oral (loniten) Or Topical Minoxidil

I've been using topical minoxidil for around 2 months, but like others here probably know it is a massive hassle having to apply it each night. It makes my hair feel and look even more awful than it already is. I have been reading about Loniten and I'm prepared for the side effects of it. I will probably take 5mg everyday so the side effects will be minimal.

I am wondering whether being on Loniten will allow me to stop the topical stuff and maintain hair? I've read that Loniten is more powerful in comparison to the topical stuff but I've also read the opposite of that... I really can't get an accurate answer.

If anyone could help shed some light on this it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I think that it is not as effective as topical minoxidil since its effects will be systemic whereas the topical minoxidil is directly targeted at the scalp area for maximum effect.
