Opinion On If I Should Get A Buzz Cut

Hello all,

This is my first post here but I've been reading some stuff on and off for the past 5 years or so when I noticed my hairline started receding. I'm currently 26 and I'm receding on both sides at the hairline. I haven't lost anything at the back so I'm not sure if its balding or just my hairline changing but it did worry me a bit. Recently I've come to terms with it and I'm considering shaving my head. Since its so fine on the sides and thin right on front I'm thinking it may actually look better shaven with #3 guard or so. Would some of you mind viewing the attached pics and commenting on if you think giving it a buzz cut would be a smart move or not? If any one has a picture of themselves with a buzz cut and a similar hairline I would love to see them too.

that's a tough one! @shookwun shall be your advisor on this one. I would say, cut the sides and back really short (2-4 guard) and fade towards the top. you have decent density, so you could pull off a kinda comb over from one side to conceal the other.

Once you enter NW3 territory it's a matter of going for the clean look.

Don't want to look like your insecure, but at the same time portraying a confident image.


Always fade the sides, crown be faded ^ short in length, and gradually get longer in the front so you have bangs to sweep to the side.

Crew cut/faded sides with long bangs so side part.

No need to shave, just need the right hair cut


a general idea... but bangs you want about half-1 inch longer so you can do a side part

Ive had that cut actually, I find the way my hair goes that the recede is more noticeable for some reason, the thinner hairs sort of stray off and it falls out of place. I feel like shaving it would just be neater. If i were to shave it out of preference, do you think it would looks more receded that this picture?
