Opinion on crown, temples, if I should seek treatment/see my Doctor

Hello there,

I've been on the site on and off and the reason for that is I look for updates by montinoring my hairline and crown. I appreciate the opinion of others and most people on here so I wanted to post to see if I should seek anything now and catch it as early as possible.

I've been cautious about losing my hair for a while now (I am 23 going on 24 years old, my dad's side is worse than my mothers as my dad lost most of his hair by age 40 and was receding by 35. My mom's side is better all around). I have thick hair and do have a cowlick, which I guess should be taken into consideration. However, lately I have noticed losing a decent amount of hair when I shower (I dont wash my hair everyday; I usually do it every second or third day and when I do that, I probably lose anywhere from 20-40 hairs per wash) again dont know if that is normal.

As far as my temples go, they have definitely changed since my teen years but the front of my hairline is still okay. I wanted everyone's thoughts on my hairline, crown and temple area. I've had people tell me there isn't much to worry about but at the same time taking into account my family history, as well as the change in my hair since age 17-20, I wanted to get others insight.

Here are two photos. Thanks very much.

Crown seems fine. Maybe some temple recession you would no best. The best thing you can do as soon as you notice a change is to hop on finasteride. Especially if it runs in yoir family

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've see the doctor in the past and asked either to see a specialist or for him to prescribe me finasteride himself and he said I don't need it. I've been trying to be persistent since I myself notice a difference

I've had a doctor encourage me too just go bald and don't use treatments.
A hair transplant surgeon is a good bet to get a prescription for finasterade.
