opinion of minoxidil on wet or dry scalp

I have done a search on how forum members are applying minoxidil, it appears many are putting it on a damp scalp for better absorption. Has anyone been putting on a dry scalp, then changed to wetting their scalp after a while on the treatment and seen an obvious increase in effectiveness?
