My loss: Severe diffuse with receded temples (M shape)
Age: 25
Losing since: 16

Used previously: 5% minoxidil once a day
Conclusion: Great success

Use previously: 5% minoxidil with low dose Accutane
Conclusion: Awesome success
(2.5 years ago)

Used previously: finasteride and dutasteride
Conclusion: Severe hyperandrogenicity resulting in accelerated hair loss, acne and double body hair

Used nothing since. Shaved head and lost every gain and got worse.

USING NOW:

60mL solution of 5% minoxidil and 8% RU.
(5g RU mixed in 60mL of Generic minoxidil)

ONE MONTH UPDATE:

Minute thicker hair. I can feel vellus hairs between the diffuse remaining hairs. Temple has gained 5 to 10 extra hairs. Under non-light inspection, temple/hairline pores appear to be opening with microscopic vellus hairs ( 5 to 10) that werent there in the temple region.

Results Visually: No real change.

Results via finger feeling: I can DEFINATELY feel little hairs between the exisitng hairs. I can't see them under light but I can feel them.

Shedding? I did have a series of many little black dots falling from my scalp about a week ago.

NOT A SUCCESS AS YET but might be starting to kick off.

Nice, looking forward to seeing how Accutane works out.

finasteride for me was like taking nothing, no effects at all.
I'm now on 100mg oral spironolactone, but I too feel like it's virilizing me rather than doing the opposite - libido, oily skin etc are all increased on the order of 10-20%. Not good.

Not on Accutane again just yet. Have to have minor surgery soon, which includes a small scar so will take Accutane after this.
