On the big 3 --- is there more I can do?

Hi guys,

I currently use nizoral + propecia + rogaine on a daily basis. I have been using this regimen for the last 6 years and it has definitely halted my hairloss and increased growth.

However, this improvement has mostly been on my frontal scalp and not so much on the top/back. I learned a while ago that propecia is mostly used for frontal scalp and rogaine is what acts further back. Is this true? if so, I am not sure how well rogaine is working.

Are there any alternatives that I should consider to address the area further back?

Thanks

topical anti androgens like RU/CB. The only problem is they are not easily available.

Sure there is more you can do, but you are pretty much using the most effective stuff there is. Adding anything else will most likely make little difference.

Both propecia and rogaine normally more effective on the crown. Its strange you had more success up front.

I guess the next logical step would be dutasteride or RU

There were some studies on a few miscellaneous things which suggest that they provide minor results in halting hair loss, such as topical melatonin and saw palmetto. I use hair surge shampoo and it does help a bit, or at least reduces shedding. Bear in mind these will have very minor effects

5% twice a day.

Thankfully the crown is not so bad that I would ever consider a hair transplant.

How can I learn more about RU/dutasteride/CB?
