I am on Propecia since 4 month 1/2, Nizoral 2 times a week, Biotin and Stemoxydine Garnier.
I don't feel any improvement, execpt a little slowdown.
I have of course Androgenetic Alopecia and also Telogen Effluvium (linked or not with Androgenetic Alopecia, that is the point). It starts with Telogen Effluvium, 60 / 70 % of my hairs falls within few months. If I knew that those hairs would come back naturally in the upcoming months, I would stay on Propecia to see what this could do on its own. This may be chronic or not-Telogen Effluvium due to my (hell) condition, or not. But, like always we never now, like other poster said to me there is few months, "when you have Telogen Effluvium and Androgenetic Alopecia, you never know if the hairs are coming back"...

I did not start minoxidil with the others things because I had to undergo neurosurgery before.
That, is done (at least I am alive, it is a good point). Without it,I would have begun minoxidil with absolutly no hesitation.

But now, like many, I am very reluctant to start minoxidil because of its captive nature (like proprecia but more restrictive)(I am by the way so happy to stop Stemox... in 1 or 2 weeks..) (1),
the uncertainty of it because if I want to stop it in several years, how can I can know what is my real hair condition without it? (2)
aging of the skin (3),
and loss of efficiency with time / or aggravating things worse (still above baseline after 10 years?) (4).

Sorry to have multiply my askings but my main concern is that one :

(5) If (IF!) new solutions are actually incoming, what will become minoxidil enhanced hairs when we stop? (Example: Folica, Histogen, SM Samumed, RepliCel?). The only thing that could lead me to begin minoxidil right now is a hope that we could put it into the trash for better with no damage and less restrictive within the 5 years...

It's worth a shot. My hair looks exactly like yours does by the way. Did your Telogen Effluvium start after you got on finasteride, or before?

Before.
And yes, the thing is that it is maybe not as dramatic as the ones who lose their hairlines but it is on all the head and maybe equal psychologically as them because it is what it is, for most, psychologically problem.

I think I'm going to go on minoxidil afterall because I am obsessed with it and this hesitation makes my life very worse (sorry maybe for my english I am hard hard drunk and french people are very bad for languages, it is well known).
All my purpose is that I had this BIG telogen effluvium certified by a trichogram (before so, Propecia) that could make me think that all those hair may come back without minoxidil (but those hairs are NWwhatever, not from the back of the head, so maybe it is male pattern baldness burst).

(Location: Screwed) (it makes me laugh, it is not nothing in this ****ing Paris drunk night, but you said so and your regimen does not indicates that you are on minoxidil, maybe it is complicated, I left it 2 times in the last 2 weeks so..., but why? because I am ok that it could worth the shot (I'll take it in the next days, maybe at 90 %)

Get yourself a lipogaine (premium minoxidil) apply once a day maybe twice (up to you) :)

I am pretty sure your hair will look better after a few months.. Looks good already, just make sure you stabilize and save 5000 EUR for a decent hair transplant in Turkey :)

I will restart minoxidil tonight.
Because my week on / week off as already made me shed. A lot.

Though, I think I do not have a choice anymore. I maybe would prefer to wait but now things has changed.
Thanks
