Oily scalp

i have oily skin (face) and scalp. just wondering if it may affect the result when i apply my minoxidil on my temple area.

please do not laugh at my next question, does oily scalp promoto hair loss and how do i treat oily scalp? :?

Yes, excess sebum (scalp oil) seems to promote hair loss. Use Nizoral 1% or 2% to effectively control this. Nizoral was also shown to promote increased hair growth and thickness. You can get it at your local drug store.

thank you for the generous advice.

will add nizoral to my regime and hopefully can get it at the pharmacy nearby.

One of the things I noticed is that my skin seems less oily after applying minoxidil for the past two weeks. Hair loss seems still continuing as fast as usual, then again, I only started with minoxidil for two weeks and finasteride for one week. Maybe it's due to the alcohol, alcohol dissolves fat and oil far more than water.
