I am 18 years old and attending university. I first began thinking about hairloss in the beginning of my Junior Year in High School. I initially panicked thinking, "My god I'm going to be bald by prom!" That year I freaked out and just wore a hat all year. I have always had a high forehead and my parents told my I was insane. I did not believe them and researched hairloss treatments but never took any action just because of embarassment.

As time progressed I began to relax and not worry about the hairloss as much even though I do think about it daily. It has become part of my routine but I am not scared of it, I just notice it. And I am constanly pulling out my hair and running my hands through my hair. I get a hair or two about one of every three pulls. I get the most hair when it is greasy and unwashed. It has been two years since I initialed thought about hairloss and I have seen little to zero change at all over that time period if it has gotten worse it is barely noticeable even to me.

I finally decided to post just to see what you guys think. Do I appear to have hairloss to you??

*Note these pictures were taken when my hair looks the worst. Having not showered in two days*

I don't know man, from the pictures it doesn't look like any hairloss to me at all. As you mature your hairline will recede slightly.

Your top is the spiral in the crown, everyone has a theoretical "bald spot" where your hair begins to grow and parts naturally.

Better pics would help, but it looks fine to me.

Your hair looks fine to me, the fourth of your pics shows a perfectly normal parting. The fact that in the two years since this started to be a concern you've seen little to zero change doesn't exactly scream hair loss to me.

Try to stop pulling at your hair, because that sure won't do it any good, and don't worry about more coming out when it's unwashed - that's perfectly normal as the hairs we lose on a daily basis get dislodged when we wash it, so not having shampooed naturally equates to more of these loose hairs sitting atop your head just waiting for your prying fingers to grab them.

Keep an eye on it, but try not to obsess, and don't go jumping on any meds unless you're 100% certain that it's bona fide hair loss.
